Sort donated clothing, textiles and other items behind the scenes at a Penrith charity shop, deciding what can be sold, repaired or recycled. Help keep the shop stocked, reduce waste and support local hospice care for patients, families and carers at home.

Join Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland as a Donation Sorter Volunteer and help turn generous donations into vital funds. Based behind the scenes in the charity shop in Penrith, you will sort through clothing, textiles and other donated items, deciding what can be sold, repaired or recycled.

This is a practical volunteering role that helps keep the shop stocked with quality items and reduces waste. Your support contributes directly to local hospice care, helping patients, families and carers receive compassionate support at home.

The role is designed to be flexible, with times that work around you and an ongoing commitment. It offers a chance to build confidence, learn new skills, strengthen your CV and be part of a supportive community while making a real difference locally.
