Want hands-on hospitality experience that boosts your career? Join Milton Keynes College’s Level 2 Hospitality to train in The Brasserie, learn food-safety, barista, plated and counter service, teamwork and customer skills - build real skills employers and colleges value.

The Hospitality Intermediate (Level 2) course at Milton Keynes College provides hands-on, practical training in hospitality environments, with much of the learning delivered on-site at the colleges award-winning restaurant, The Brasserie. Students develop core operational skills such as safe and hygienic working practices, food safety, preparing and providing counter and plated service, barista training, teamwork and customer service.

The programme is supported by People 1st and includes authentic work experience opportunities both on-campus and at external events.

Learners will take part in industry visits (for example hospitality shows and local vineyards), annual student events and work placements such as weddings and awards evenings, building contacts and real-world experience for progression into employment. The course is designed to prepare students either to progress to Level 3 study in Hospitality and Supervision (full-time or apprenticeship) or to move directly into hospitality roles in restaurants, hotels and catering companies.

Applicants should be prepared to work as part of a team in busy environments and to follow direction under time pressure. The college provides student support, industry-focused facilities and an application journey that includes online applications from September, interviews from November, Discovery Days in July, and enrolment in August ahead of the September start.
