Based in Appledore (Skern Lodge) with opportunities also at the Ultimate Adventure Centre in Bideford, Devon, this Level 2 Housekeeping Team Member apprenticeship offers hands-on hospitality experience and full training. You will carry out daily cleaning of public rooms, guest accommodation and shower/toilet blocks, prepare rooms for incoming groups (including making beds), maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas, and liaise with the Housekeeper to maintain high standards.
You will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by an experienced trainer, completing a nationally recognised Level 2 Customer Service qualification. Training will be a mix of face-to-face and online learning and includes Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.
Contracted hours are 30 hours per week on a rota with some split shifts (typical shift 9:00-16:00), and the apprenticeship lasts approximately 9 months.
No previous housekeeping experience is essential, although it is desirable. Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grade 4) are desirable but not mandatory as Functional Skills can be provided. Benefits include access to Perkbox, meals while on duty, uniform, and strong team support.
A driving licence and car are advantageous due to local transport timings.

- This is a Level 2 apprenticeship (Customer Service Level 2) — candidates must be willing to complete an apprenticeship.
- Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grade 4) desirable; Functional Skills in Maths and English can be provided if required.
- Experience in housekeeping is desirable but not essential.
- On-site working only (role based at Skern Lodge or Ultimate Adventure Centre).
- Contracted hours: 30 hours per week, working on a rota with some split shifts (typically 9:00-16:00), 5 out of 7 days per week.
- A driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous due to shift times and limited public transport alignment.
