Immerse Education Biotechnology Summer School Cambridge

Immerse Education’s Biotechnology Summer School Cambridge is a residential summer programme for students aged 16-18 who want a taste of university-style study in a cutting-edge science field. The course combines practical lab sessions with academic teaching, helping participants explore how biotechnology is shaping medicine, agriculture and environmental science.

Students work through in-depth academic sessions, complete a personal research project, and receive 1-on-1 tutoring from experienced mentors. The programme is designed to build analytical thinking, independent research, and confidence, while also giving students a clearer sense of what future study in biotechnology could look like.

A certificate of achievement is awarded at the end of the course, and students can also opt in to earn UCAS points or college credits. The Cambridge experience is also highly immersive beyond the classroom.

Accommodation, meals, and extracurricular activities are included, with students living on campus in a historic Cambridge college environment. Formal dining, guest speakers, evening activities and shared social time add to the university-style atmosphere.
