Immerse Education's Chemistry Summer School offers high-school students an intensive introduction to chemical sciences through a mix of lectures, lab practicals, seminars and a personal research project. Students explore organic chemistry, physical chemistry and biochemistry, develop experimental skills, and receive personalised feedback from experienced tutors and PhD-level instructors.
The programme is available as an on-campus residential option (offered at the University of Cambridge) and as interactive online courses. Residential participants take part in hands-on laboratory work, group workshops, expert seminars, day excursions and pastoral support from university-college staff.
On completion, participants receive a Certificate of Achievement and may opt in to earn 8 UCAS points where eligible. The course emphasises academic preparation for university, problem-solving, and independent research skills.

Location
- Recommended for motivated participants aged 16-18 (residential course best suited to this age group).
- No prior chemistry experience required; pre-course set work will be provided so all students start with a common baseline.
- UCAS points option available only to students aged 14 and above at the time of the programme.
- ESL learners are supported through Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and personalised tutor feedback.
