Immerse Education’s Creative Writing Cambridge Summer School (2026) is a two-week pre-university programme held in Cambridge that helps students develop skills in storytelling, poetry, character development and editing. The programme is taught by academic tutors and experienced practitioners and combines rigorous academic sessions, one-to-one tutoring, and a self-directed personal research project.
Class sizes are small (7 students) and participants complete a personal project and receive a certificate of achievement or attendance. The course is split into two age-specific streams: one for ages 13-15 and one for ages 16-18, with both residential and non-residential options.
Residential participants stay in historic Cambridge college accommodation with meals included; male and female students are accommodated separately. The programme includes pastoral support, evening events, cultural trips (including a day trip to London) and guest speaker sessions.
The course offers an optional UCAS points add-on (available to students aged 14+). Multiple session dates are available across July and August 2026, and applicants enrol via the Immerse Education website using the online enrolment/application form.
