Immerse Education - Creative Writing summer programme in Sydney

Immerse Education's Creative Writing summer programme in Sydney is a two-week, residential and non-residential summer school for young writers. The course offers in-depth academic sessions led by experienced tutors, personalised one-to-one tutorials, and a self-directed personal research project.

Small class sizes (typically 7-10 students) ensure intensive feedback and a supportive learning environment. Students choose between two streams: ages 13-15 (foundational creative writing, genres, and skills) and ages 16-18 (advanced techniques in character, storytelling and editing).

The programme includes classroom workshops, guest speaker sessions, and cultural activities across Sydney to inspire creative work. Participants stay at St. Paul’s College at the University of Sydney for residential options and receive daily meals and dedicated residential support.

On completion students receive a certificate of attendance (certificate of achievement referenced) and may opt in to earn 8 UCAS points where eligible. The programme is designed to build writing skills, produce a personal project suitable for CVs/university applications, and provide mentoring from academic experts.
