Immerse Education’s Criminology Summer Programme in Oxford is a university-style summer school for students aged 16-18 who are interested in crime, justice, and society. The programme explores criminal behaviour, justice systems, social inequality, and legal responses through academic sessions led by expert tutors.
Students are encouraged to debate ideas, analyse case studies, and build a deeper understanding of how crime is studied across different contexts. Alongside subject teaching, participants complete a personal research project and receive 1-on-1 tutoring to support their learning.
The programme is designed to strengthen critical thinking, research, and academic communication skills, while also giving students a taste of Oxford collegiate life. Residential participants stay in Oxford University colleges, and the experience includes formal dining, group activities, and other enrichment elements.
The programme is available in residential and online formats, with small class sizes that allow for close tutor support. Students can also opt in for an extra UCAS points add-on, and the programme awards a certificate of achievement on completion.
