Immerse Education's Engineering Summer Programme in New York is a two-week, campus-based course designed for students aged 15-18 who are considering studying engineering or wish to explore how technical ideas solve real-world problems. Participants engage in project-based learning, hands-on prototype building, simulations and case studies focused on mechanical, structural and electrical engineering principles.
Small class sizes (7-10 students) allow close tutoring from industry professionals and personalised feedback. The programme includes expert workshops, weekly 1:1 coaching sessions, career-skills training (CVs, cover letters, employer evaluation), industry visits to local engineering firms, and a personal project culminating in a presentation to industry tutors.
Students stay at Barnard College (Columbia University) for residential options, with communal living, on-site security and daily meals. An optional UCAS points add-on (8 points) is available for eligible students.
Completion awards a certificate of attendance to support university applications.
