Curious about engineering beyond the classroom? Join Immerse Education’s self-paced online Research Pathway to explore engineering’s breadth, build uni-level knowledge and practical skills, and strengthen your application or career direction through hands-on projects and expert-led learning.

Immerse Education’s Engineering Online Research Pathway is a self-paced online course that introduces high school participants to engineering at a university level. It is designed for learners aged 13 to 18 and is presented as a pre-university experience, with no prior experience required.

The programme explores the breadth of engineering as an interdisciplinary subject and helps participants build both subject knowledge and practical skills. Students can expect to study topics such as the future of engineering, fluid mechanics, mathematics for engineering, physics, design principles, CAD, project management, and emerging areas including robotics, sustainable engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Teaching is delivered by expert tutors, including graduates and researchers from top universities, and the course can be accessed from anywhere in the world. The programme is intended to support ambitious students who want to deepen their interest in engineering and gain a stronger sense of university-level study.

An optional UCAS points add-on is available for eligible students, offering an opportunity to strengthen university applications with recognised credit.
