Want to build playable games at UCL this summer? Join Immerse Education’s two-week Game Design programme to learn Unity, Roblox/Lua, Python and more, collaborate with mentors, visit industry, and publish your own game to boost skills and UCAS-ready experience.
Immerse Education's Game Design Summer Programme at University College London (UCL) is a two-week, campus-based course for 15-18-year-old high school students. Based at UCL's Astor College in central London, the programme combines practical game-design modules (Construct 2, Unity, Roblox/Lua, Python and RPGMaker) with industry visits, project workshops and mentor feedback.
Students develop and publish playable games and learn coding and design mechanics relevant to the games and broader tech industries. The course includes career-focused elements: 1:1 career coaching, a personalised career development plan, small class sizes (average 7, max 12), and professional workshops to support progression to university or a career in tech/gaming.
Social and cultural activities include London excursions, museum visits, West End shows and a graduation ceremony with certificate and prizes. Accommodation is available on campus at Astor College (single rooms, en-suite options), with breakfast and dinner provided for boarding students.
Arrival day transfers (Heathrow) are organised with set pickup times; return transfers and optional taxi transfers are available. Students should enrol and pay a deposit online to secure a place.
