Immerse Education’s International Relations Summer School in Cambridge is a residential academic programme for students aged 13-18 who want to explore global politics, diplomacy and international affairs. The course is split into two age groups, with tailored teaching for 13-15 and 16-18 year olds so that students can study at an appropriate level and build confidence in a university-style environment.
Students take part in in-depth academic sessions led by expert tutors, work on a personal research project, and receive 1-on-1 tutoring and mentoring throughout the programme. The curriculum encourages participants to examine international issues through frameworks such as feminist and post-colonial perspectives, and for older students it also includes topics such as international law and conflict resolution.
The experience is based in Cambridge and includes life on campus, formal dining, extracurricular activities and a certificate of achievement. Students may also opt in to an additional UCAS points offer, giving them a further way to strengthen their university application.
