Immerse Education's Law Summer School in Tokyo (Summer 2026) is a two-week, campus-based programme offering a university-level introduction to comparative legal systems, legal ethics, criminal law, constitutional issues and human rights. The course uses small-group seminars, mock trials, structured debates and case studies to build students' argumentation, reasoning and public speaking skills.
Teaching is delivered by PhD-level tutors and includes personalised 1:1 tutoring and a self-directed personal research project.
Students live in high-quality student accommodation near the University of Tokyo (residential options available) and take part in cultural activities, guest speaker sessions and a graduation ceremony. The programme includes 40 hours of teaching, small class sizes (7-10 students), a certificate of achievement, and an optional UCAS points add-on (8 UCAS points).
Sessions are designed for ambitious 15-18 year olds considering law and university study abroad in Japan or those exploring international legal careers.
Two sessions are available in Summer 2026, giving participants the opportunity to choose dates that suit them. Enrolment and further details (including full inclusions for each package) are available via the Immerse Education website.
