Immerse Education’s Medicine Summer School in Tokyo is a two-week, university-level programme designed to introduce students to core medical topics including human anatomy, diagnostics, public health and clinical ethics. Learning combines lectures, simulation-based workshops, interactive case studies and group projects, supported by expert tutors and undergraduate mentors.
Participants undertake a personal research project and receive 1:1 tutoring to develop academic skills relevant to medicine and biomedical study.
The programme runs on campus in central Tokyo with residential and non-residential options. Residential participants stay in selected student accommodation within 15 minutes of the University of Tokyo; residential packages include 13 nights and daily meals (breakfast and dinner).
The course offers small class sizes (7-10 students), 40 hours of tuition, guest speaker sessions, cultural activities and a graduation ceremony.
On completion students earn a certificate of achievement (certificate of attendance) and may opt-in for an 8 UCAS-point add-on where eligible. The programme is promoted for ages 15-18 and is suitable for international students exploring how to study medicine in Japan in English.
