Curious about a career in medicine? Experience university-style study in Cambridge with Immerse Education: explore human biology, disease and genetics, build practical insight and UCAS-boosting skills, and connect with likeminded peers in a historic academic setting.

Immerse Education’s Medicine Summer School in Cambridge gives ambitious young people a chance to experience university-style study in medicine in a historic academic setting. The programme is offered in two age bands, 13-15 and 16-18, so students can learn at a level suited to their stage of development while exploring what a future in healthcare could look like.

Across the course, participants study foundations of human biology, disease and defence, genes, switches and risk, and wider themes in medical science. They also get hands-on practice with real medical thinking: taking patient histories, reading X-rays and ECGs, and practising MMI-style interview questions.

Teaching is designed to build confidence, analytical thinking and a realistic understanding of clinical practice, diagnosis and treatment. The summer school runs in Cambridge as a two-week residential experience, with accommodation, meals and extracurricular activities included in the package.

Students stay in Cambridge colleges and finish the programme with a graduation ceremony where certificates are awarded. An optional UCAS points add-on is also available for eligible students aged 14 and over.
