Immerse Education's Nanotechnology Cambridge Summer School is a two-week, university-level programme designed for students aged 16-18. Through a mix of theoretical and practical sessions led by PhD-level tutors, participants explore nanotechnology topics across materials science, engineering and applications in healthcare, energy and electronics.
Classes are deliberately small (7-10 students) and include 1:1 tutoring, guest speaker sessions, and a supervised personal research project.
Students live and learn on campus in college accommodation for the residential options, with tailored social and cultural activities such as formal dining in college halls, day trips (including an optional London day), and evening events. Completion includes a certificate of achievement and the option to earn 8 UCAS points (UCAS points are available as an optional add-on; eligibility for UCAS points is noted on the programme page).
Multiple sessions are available in July and August 2026, and tuition is delivered by academics from leading universities. The programme is suitable for students preparing for further study in nanotechnology, materials science, engineering or related STEM fields, and aims to provide material that supports university applications.
