Immerse Education's Oxford Engineering Summer School is an in-person, two-week academic programme based at Oxford University colleges. The programme is offered as two age-specific courses (ages 13-15 and ages 16-18) and delivers around 40 hours of teaching led by academic experts and PhD-level tutors.
Classes are small (7-10 students) and include in-depth academic sessions, 1-on-1 tutoring, and a personal research project.
Participants work on practical engineering projects and receive personalised feedback and mentorship. The programme awards a certificate of achievement (certificate of attendance) on completion and offers an optional UCAS points add-on (8 UCAS points) for students aged 14+ who opt in.
Curriculum materials and a sample timetable are available; tutors include current researchers and postgraduate academics in engineering-related fields.
Residential participants stay in Oxford University colleges (examples listed: St Edmund's Hall, Balliol, Oriel, Hertford) with separate male/female accommodation and Wi-Fi provided. The programme includes social activities and excursions (including trips to Cambridge and London).
Multiple enrolment options are available (non-residential, residential, residential + online research) with the corresponding prices listed on the site.
