Immerse Education’s Physics Summer School in Cambridge is a residential academic programme for ambitious students who want to explore physics in a university-style setting. The course is offered in two age bands, with one track for ages 13-15 and a more advanced track for ages 16-18.
Students study in small classes and are taught by expert tutors with experience in both research and teaching. The programme combines in-depth academic sessions with hands-on experiments, a personal research project, and 1-on-1 tutoring.
Younger students focus on the fundamentals of physics, while older students tackle more advanced ideas such as quantum mechanics and electromagnetism. The course is designed to build analytical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence in independent study.
Participants live and study in Cambridge and benefit from an immersive campus experience. Accommodation, meals, and extracurricular activities are included in the course package, and students also receive a certificate of achievement on completion.
An optional UCAS points add-on is available for eligible students, helping them strengthen their university application.
