TED Summer School Online is a virtual public speaking programme for students aged 14-18. It is built around communication, storytelling and public speaking, and is designed to help participants develop confidence, original ideas and stronger academic communication skills.
Students receive individual or group tutoring and work through a structured learning experience that includes in-depth academic sessions, practical guidance and personalised feedback. A central part of the programme is an independent personal research project, where students develop an argument, refine their ideas and produce a final written report or TED-style talk.
Because the course is delivered fully online, students can take part from anywhere in the world. Alongside the learning experience, participants can earn UCAS points or college credits, receive a Certificate of Achievement, and, for those who excel, potentially gain a Letter of Recommendation from their tutor.
