Immerse Education’s Veterinary Medicine Summer School gives school-aged students an introduction to animal care and veterinary science through a mix of theoretical study and practical activities. The Academic Insights Pathway prepares participants for university-level veterinary study by covering core topics such as animal anatomy, disease prevention, clinical practice, genetics, nutrition and animal welfare.
Teaching includes expert seminars, hands-on group workshops, and a personal research or case-study project.
The programme is open to students aged 13-18 and is offered as an in-person residential course in Sydney, Australia, as well as a remote/online option. Students benefit from small class sizes (typically 7-10), one-to-one tutoring, personalised feedback on projects, day excursions and structured practical learning.
On completion participants receive a recognised Certificate of Achievement; students aged 14+ can opt in for 8 UCAS points as an add-on where eligible.
Practical arrangements vary by age: meals and supervised on-site arrangements are provided during the programme; travel to/from the programme city must be arranged by participants, while travel for excursions is included. Immerse Education is accredited (Aegis, BAC) and highlights safeguarding, staff DBS/background checks, and pastoral support throughout residential programmes.
