Curious to tackle real STEM challenges at Imperial? Join the selective two-week Global Summer School 2026 to explore Data Science & AI, Engineering, Medicine or Physics, build lab skills, collaborate on an Innovation Challenge and boost your uni and career readiness.
Imperial College London Global Summer School is a selective two-week, fully residential STEM programme for students aged 16 17. Held on Imperial's South Kensington campus, the programme offers subject immersion in Data Science & AI, Engineering, Medicine & Life Sciences, or Physics through lectures, tutorials and hands-on laboratory sessions.
The course combines academic teaching with practical lab work and culminates in a team-based Innovation Challenge coached by Imperial's Enterprise Lab. Participants live at Prince's Gardens in en-suite accommodation with meals and a full social programme included.
The Global Summer School is designed for high-achieving STEM-focused high-school students seeking a taste of university-level study and research. The programme includes university-preparation workshops, excursions around London, and a graduation ceremony.
Places are selective and allocated to applicants who meet academic and English-language requirements; there are no scholarships or bursaries and additional personal costs (travel, visas, insurance, laundry) are not covered. Applications open each January and places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis among qualified applicants while availability remains.
