Imperial College London’s Mechanical Engineering student presentations are school sessions delivered by second-year Mechanical Engineering students. Each student presents on a technical topic of their own choosing, giving pupils a chance to hear how university students explore and explain engineering ideas in a clear, engaging way.
The sessions are aimed at Year 12 pupils studying science who are interested in progressing to university to study a STEM subject. Schools can choose from a range of presentation dates, and each session can include up to six presentations lasting up to 90 minutes.
The event is designed to offer an introduction to mechanical engineering and to show the variety of topics and careers connected to the subject.
