Explore how medical AI could shift healthcare from spotting abnormalities to predicting, preventing, diagnosing and treating illness with more personalised care. Dr Hutan Ashrafian and Dr Ahmad Guni will unpack its expanding roles, human oversight and the safeguards needed for responsible, equitable adoption.
Frontiers in Science Deep Dive is a free webinar from Imperial College London exploring how medical artificial intelligence could reshape care across the health system. The session looks at how AI may move beyond identifying abnormalities to support earlier, more personalised prediction, prevention, diagnosis and treatment, from AI-driven molecular biology to multimodal tools for clinical decision-making.
Dr Hutan Ashrafian and Dr Ahmad Guni will discuss the expanding capabilities of medical AI and the different roles it may play in healthcare, including more autonomous systems that still rely on appropriate human oversight. The event also considers the technical and health-system advances needed to translate these tools into better health outcomes, alongside the safeguards required for responsible, sustainable and equitable adoption.
Places are first come first served and the event is open to all.
