Innovating for a Safer Future: Leonardo Work Experience

This is a self-paced virtual work experience run with Leonardo, a global aerospace, defence and security company. Through a series of modules you’ll explore how Leonardo manufactures helicopters, develops electronics for land/sea/air, and protects data through cyber and security systems.

The programme combines explanatory videos with recorded webinars, industry insights and reflection activities so you can see the range of roles and where your skills might fit. The course is interactive: you’ll complete quizzes and tasks, work through a fictional cyber scenario, and take part in engineering-style activities that introduce practical concepts.

Videos and contributions from Leonardo professionals (including apprentices) explain real day-to-day work, typical career pathways and application tips for apprenticeships and degree routes. A certificate of completion is provided to download and add to your CV/LinkedIn on successfully finishing the programme.

The programme is delivered online (remote) and is available on demand. There is no strict cut-off for completion; live talks are scheduled during weekday hours but recordings are provided. Springpod notes the programme is open to school/college students and gives guidance rather than strict age limits.
