Insight into Bristol is a free on-campus summer school run by the University of Bristol for Year 12 students of colour. The programme offers an opportunity to experience life as a Bristol student through academic sessions delivered by university academics in an assigned subject stream, social activities, and interactions with current students and student societies.
Participants will stay in student accommodation on the University of Bristol campus and take part in a programme of academic and social activities across the week, including subject-specific teaching, campus exploration, and advice sessions aimed at supporting progression to a top UK university. Completing the scheme may make participants eligible for a guaranteed contextual offer or interview for certain Bristol courses, subject to meeting the programme's contextual entry requirements and any necessary admissions tests.
Applications for the 2026 programme open in January 2026; interested students can complete the expression of interest form to receive an email reminder when applications open. The summer school will take place in the latter half of July 2026 on the University of Bristol campus.
