Immerse Education
Want to debate global issues in Oxford this summer? Join Immerse Education’s two-week International Relations programme: explore diplomacy, international law and political theory with PhD tutors, build a research project, get one-to-one feedback and strengthen your university applications.
Immerse Education's International Relations Summer Programme in Oxford is a two-week, in-person academic summer school for motivated students aged 16-18. The course covers global politics, diplomacy, international law, political theory and related topics through discussion-based classes, expert-led seminars and a self-directed research project.
Teaching is delivered by academic tutors (often PhD-level) and includes 1:1 tutoring and personalised feedback aimed at strengthening university applications. Participants live and learn in Oxford University colleges (residential option) or may attend as non-residential students.
The programme includes daily academic sessions, afternoon simulations such as mock negotiations and diplomatic role-play, guest speaker events, and social activities. Students complete a personal research project and receive a certificate recognising their achievements.
The experience also features two full-day trips (one to Cambridge and an optional visit to London), formal college dinners, and a graduation ceremony. Class sizes are small (typically 7-10 students) to enable close academic support and discussion-based learning.
