This summer program at the University of Michigan introduces high school students (ages 14-18) to core real estate concepts across residential and commercial markets. The course covers fundamentals of real estate finance, law, and market analysis, and combines classroom learning with practical activities such as site visits and real-world projects guided by industry professionals.
Sessions are offered on-campus with both residential (boarding) and day options. Multiple session lengths are available (examples listed on the page include 2- and 3-week sessions in June and July 2026).
Students receive portfolio-building documentation on completion, including a Course Completion Certificate and a Letter of Recognition; some credit-bearing classes provide grade reports and transcript instructions. The program supports an international student community and provides campus housing, meals (for residential programs), supervised activities, shuttle support (additional fee), and medical insurance support for international participants.
Prospective students should complete the Summer Institute application to apply; an international registration fee applies to U. S. programs.
