The Young International Politics Weekend is a one-day work-experience style masterclass run by InvestIN Education for students aged 15-18. Through a programme of interactive sessions led by political professionals (including MPs, civil servants and UN staff), participants take part in Model UN simulations, parliamentary debates, negotiation exercises and live Q&A panels.
The day is intended to give practical insight into international politics and key political careers.
The programme also includes expert career coaching on A-level/IB choices, university and degree selection, extracurricular activities and routes into politics. Attendees complete an online assessment after the programme and receive a personalised certificate to include in university applications.
The same content is delivered both in-person and live online, with the in-person venue listed as University College London (UCL), Bloomsbury, London.
Next available date: 22 March 2026. Places are secured via registration (no application process); the provider operates on a first-come, first-served basis and spaces are limited.
