The Young Art & Design Weekend is a one-day interactive masterclass for students aged 15-18 run by InvestIN Education. Professional artists coach participants through a range of hands-on activities including stylised life drawing, stop-motion character creation and animation, collaborative studio work, and presenting creations to a panel of art experts.
The programme also includes Q&A panels with artists and designers. Participants receive expert career coaching covering study choices, work experience, portfolio-building, and routes into the art and design industries (A-levels, art foundation, degree and beyond).
Attendees complete an online assessment after the programme and receive a personalised certificate to support university and job applications. The programme can be attended in person at University College London (UCL) or via a Live Online session (Live Online option stated as available in November only).
Places are limited, there is no application process, and bookings are secured by registering and paying online on a first-come, first-served basis.
