The Young Architect Summer Experience is a two-week (or one-week taster / two-week premium) in-person summer school run by InvestIN Education for students aged 15-18 (Years 10-12). Based at University College London and the surrounding University of London campus in central London, the programme offers immersive architectural career simulations, professional site visits to leading firms (e.
g. , Foster + Partners), hands-on 3D modelling and sketching workshops, and opportunities to pitch designs to panels of practising architects. Participants undertake team-based design briefs, site research, and an exhibition of work in a landmark London venue.
The programme includes industry masterclasses, networking sessions with senior architects, and targeted university-admissions and career coaching. Students complete projects that are assessed and receive detailed feedback; 2-week participants may also attend an assessment centre and graduation ceremony.
Accommodation options include residential (single ensuite rooms in university halls with meals, guardianship and evening/weekend activities) or non-residential/day student attendance. The programme includes a post-programme online assessment, a personalised digital certificate (all students), and physical certificate plus an industry reference letter for 2-week attendees.
