Isaac Science Year 11 Mentoring Scheme

Isaac Science’s Year 11 Mentoring Scheme is a free online physics problem-solving programme for Year 11 students. Participants work through weekly question sets designed to build confidence, deepen understanding and improve problem-solving skills in physics.

The scheme is intended as a social learning activity, encouraging students to collaborate with friends, discuss ideas and persevere through challenging problems rather than simply looking for quick answers. Each week, students receive a new set of questions and can later watch a tutorial video that explores the solutions and the underlying ideas in more detail.

Learners can ask focused questions through the Isaac contact link after making a genuine attempt at the work. Certificates are issued at the end of the year to recognise participation, with platinum, titanium and copper certificates awarded depending on the proportion of weekly tasks attempted.
