ISSOS Theatre Summer School

ISSOS Theatre is a three-week residential summer programme designed for students aged 13-18 who want to develop their performing arts skills. Delivered at university locations (Cambridge and St Andrews), the course is suitable for all experience levels and combines practical performance training with creative workshops and masterclasses led by theatre professionals.

Students take part in hands-on sessions focused on voice, movement, improvisation, storytelling and stagecraft, and also learn about behind-the-scenes areas such as direction, production, sound and lighting. Elective theatre classes run for three hours every weekday afternoon (except Wednesdays) and are paired with an academic class so students can build a balanced, well-rounded programme.

Over the three weeks participants collaborate to create an original piece of theatre. The course culminates in a Creative Night performance for the whole summer school, giving students the opportunity to showcase their work and build confidence, teamwork and communication skills in an international, supportive environment.
