Ready to level up your Italian? Join Oxford Lifelong Learning's in-person weekly course to boost speaking, listening, reading and writing at A2 — practise through discussions and role-plays and build confidence for uni and travel.

Explore the language and culture of Italian-speaking countries through an interactive, in-person weekly class aimed at learners working at CEFR level A2. The course emphasises speaking and listening skills while also providing practice in reading and writing through class activities such as discussions and role-plays.

Over ten weeks you will cover everyday topics and relevant grammar to consolidate A2-level competencies. The course runs in person on Wednesdays, 2:00PM to 4:00PM, from 21 January 2026 to 25 March 2026 at Ewert House, Ewert Place, Banbury Road, Oxford OX2 7DD.

It comprises 10 sessions with a recommended textbook (Nuovo Espresso 2). Weekly class students may become borrowing members of the Rewley House Library for the duration of the course. On successful completion (80% attendance) participants will receive an official digital badge from the Department for Continuing Education, University of Oxford.

Entry requires appropriate prior knowledge: completion of Lower Intermediate - Part 1 (or equivalent), a GCSE in Italian at Grade B/6 or below, or attainment of A1+ CEFR in Italian. To book, use the 'Book now' button on the course page or complete the enrolment form; contact weeklyclasses@conted.
