Support food security and rural livelihoods through a fully hosted sustainable agriculture volunteer program in Nepal run by IVHQ and listed via Volunteer World. Volunteers spend up to 5 hours a day assisting local families and community groups with small-scale farming tasks such as planting, harvesting, composting, soil improvement, livestock care, and setting up community gardens or seedling nurseries.
The program includes a one-day orientation in Kathmandu, homestay or shared project accommodation, two/three meals per day, airport pickup, and 24/7 in-country support. This in-person, field-based placement is available year-round with program start dates offered regularly.
The typical stay is 3-8 weeks. No previous farming experience is required; volunteers should be willing to work outdoors and bring appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. Upon completion volunteers receive a Certificate of International Volunteer Service.
