The JCB Level 6 Business Degree Apprenticeship is a degree-level programme that combines on-the-job training with blocks of university-based study. Apprentices rotate through different business functions, spending around six months in areas such as Purchasing, Finance, Sales, Aftermarkets, HR and Marketing, gaining broad commercial experience while working for JCB.
The programme typically lasts 48 months and leads to a Level 6 Business Degree. Apprentices receive a salary (circa £18,000, increasing year on year) while studying and working, and benefit from a mix of practical workplace experience and formal study at a dedicated university.
Entry requires a minimum of three A levels at grade C or above (or equivalent) and at least four GCSEs at grade 4/C including Maths and English. The application process is online and includes CV submission, online psychometric and behavioural tests, and an assessment centre with interview, presentation and group exercise.
Successful applicants are offered a place on the programme.
