Want to build robots and heavy machinery? Join JCB's Level 3 Mechatronics Apprenticeship to learn mechanical, electrical and robotics hands-on, earn while you train and gain industry experience that boosts your career or uni prospects.

This Level 3 Mechatronics Apprenticeship at JCB combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, electronics and product engineering into a single practical programme. The apprenticeship typically lasts 44 months and is structured so you spend the first 22 months training with a dedicated training provider (with short placements at JCB), followed by 22 months based at JCB gaining on-the-job experience in a business area and completing a practical assessment to finish the apprenticeship.

On successful completion you will gain a recognised Level 3 Engineering qualification, hands-on experience from two different organisations and be prepared to begin a career in Maintenance Engineering within JCB. The role is salaried (c.

£15,000 starting, increasing year on year) and focuses on developing the technical and problem-solving skills needed to keep production equipment running.

Entry requirements and selection are competency-focused. Applicants must meet the GCSE requirement and will apply online by uploading a CV and explaining their motivation. The selection process includes online psychometric and behavioural assessments, followed by an assessment centre with interviews and group exercises.

Successful candidates will receive an offer to join the programme.
