Karima Foundation AI for Everyone: One Day Tutorial and Hackathon

AI for Everyone is a practical, one-day tutorial and hackathon delivered by OxTechAI and promoted by the Karima Foundation. It is designed to be accessible to people at many stages of their AI journey, from complete beginners to more experienced users, and it welcomes students, professionals, business owners, community members, and anyone curious about AI.

The event is hands-on and supportive, with participants encouraged to stay for the full day so they can follow the learning sequence from beginner level through to more advanced sessions. The day is split into three progressive sections covering AI basics, prompt engineering, tool selection, and the strengths and limitations of different AI models.

Participants will also use a free browser-based platform to build and deploy a simple digital project, then move on to more advanced tools and workflows including GitHub, development containers, command-line tools, and AI-assisted development. By the end of the event, attendees should have a working example, practical skills they can use immediately, and more confidence to continue exploring AI independently.
