Kia Light Vehicle Technician Apprentice - Wakefield

This is a Kia Light Vehicle Technician apprenticeship based at Piccadilly Motors in Wakefield. The apprenticeship is a 3-year programme combining on-the-job learning with specialist training to qualify you as a Kia-accredited vehicle technician.

You will work at the dealership carrying out servicing, diagnosing and repairing faults, replacing parts, advising service advisors, and communicating with customers.

Training is delivered by SKILLNET LIMITED and follows the Kia Apprenticeship Programme cycle of block training, workplace visits, reviews and virtual 1:1 sessions. Apprentices attend block training (including at the Kia Academy in Derby) every 8-10 weeks; employer-funded hotel accommodation is provided for block weeks where required.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with weekday shifts, and apprentices will gain nationally recognised qualifications and the opportunity to progress from Level 2 to Level 3.

The apprenticeship offers a starting wage of £15,704 in the first year (and may increase depending on age) and follows the National Minimum Wage framework for apprentices. Start date is Monday 5 January 2026 and the position is based at Bradford Road, Wrenthorpe, Wakefield (WF1 2AH).
