Combine online sessions with an in-person stay in Cambridge to explore university study, challenge common myths and ask questions about applying to competitive universities. It’s for Year 12 students from the specified link area studying A levels or the International Baccalaureate.

Closes 4 January 2027

This access programme is designed for Year 12 students from the King's College Link Area who are thinking about applying to a competitive university. It is intended to support you as you explore your options, understand what university study might involve, and build confidence around the application process.

The programme combines online sessions with an in-person stay in Cambridge. Across these activities, participants can ask questions, challenge common myths about university, and make a more informed decision about where and what they might like to study.

It is also aimed at helping students think about future aspirations and how to strengthen a competitive application.

The programme is open to students at state schools in the specified link area and is aimed at those studying A Levels or the International Baccalaureate. Applicants should be working at a high academic level, with predicted grades of AAA or above at A Level, or the equivalent for IB students.
