The King's Trust Explore Programme

The King's Trust Explore programme is a free, flexible personal development programme designed to help young people build confidence, develop useful life and work skills, and take practical steps towards their goals. Participants work on their own development journey with support from staff, choosing activities and targets that reflect what they want to achieve.

The programme starts with an induction and is followed by an Access course lasting 3 to 5 days of group activities and new experiences. These activities are designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, leadership, resilience and problem-solving.

After that, participants take part in follow-on sessions covering community projects, conservation, sport, arts and other activities, alongside one-to-one support for CVs, interviews, independence and next steps into employment, education or training. Participants can also work towards a Personal Development and Employability (PDE) Skills qualification and receive 3 months of mentoring after finishing the programme.
