Amplify is Lancashire Music Hub’s youth board for music, bringing together young people from Lancashire and Blackpool to make sure youth voice is represented at a strategic level and helps shape future music education planning across the county. It is designed for young musicians with a wide range of experience and interests, and members work alongside music leaders from Lancashire Music Service and More Music.
Across the academic year, members take part in a mix of in-person and online sessions. The group explores what young people want from music education, what works well and what could be improved, then turns those ideas into action through creative projects and discussion.
Activities can include making videos and online content, organising events, meeting music professionals and contributing to wider youth voice work. It is free to join, refreshments are provided at County Hall sessions, and taking part can also strengthen university or college applications.
