Join a county brass ensemble led by Musical Director Gareth Crane, and build your playing, confidence and ensemble skills alongside other young musicians. You don’t need to have taken an exam; the band welcomes players around Grade 1-4 standard.
Lancashire Schools Brass Band is a county brass ensemble run by Lancashire Music Hub and led by Musical Director Gareth Crane. It brings together young brass players for rehearsals at Parklands High School in Chorley, with a programme of regular Saturday sessions across the year and occasional performances and special events.
The band is aimed at players of around Grade 1-4 standard, and young musicians do not need to have taken an exam to join. It is designed to be welcoming and inclusive, giving members the chance to develop their playing, confidence and ensemble skills while taking part in a wider programme of music-making opportunities and county events.
