Landscape operative apprentice

This is a Level 2 Landscape Operative apprenticeship with Goldenstones Gardening Ltd based in the Stroud (GL6 0QF) area. Most of the apprenticeship is on-the-job: you'll learn practical landscape construction and horticulture skills including use of hand and powered tools, constructing paved features, installing drainage, planting and turfing, pruning, and maintenance of hard and soft landscapes.

The employer aims to discuss a permanent position on successful completion.

You will be enrolled with the training provider SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE AND STROUD COLLEGE and study the Horticulture or Landscape Construction Operative Level 2 course. The training includes attending college one day per month at the Horizon 38 Construction campus and other specialist training away from the workplace.

Essential qualifications listed are GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 3-9). Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours a week).

Wage for the first year is stated as £15,704 (may increase depending on age and thereafter aligns with apprentice/National Minimum Wage rules). The apprenticeship starts on Monday 5 January 2026, lasts 2 years, and has 2 positions available.
