Study Latin with around 200 learners from across the world, with small classes, daily grammar clinics and evening talks from leading university academics. Build fluency at any level, then join trips, quiz night, a play, a party and a visit to Hadrian’s Wall or York.

Latin Camp is an intensive Latin summer school that brings together around 200 people from across the world to study Latin, read Latin literature and explore the Roman world. It is designed for learners at every level, from complete beginners through to post A-Level standard, and it also welcomes school students, university students and aspiring teachers.

The academic programme combines small classes with daily grammar clinics and evening talks from leading university academics. The emphasis is on building fluency, confidence and wider reading experience, making it especially useful for students preparing for advanced study or Oxbridge applications.

Alongside the learning, Latin Camp has a strong social side. Participants enjoy trips, quiz night, a play, a party and a visit to Hadrian’s Wall or York, as well as time spent with like-minded Classicists in a friendly residential setting.

All-in food and board are included, and there is a limited bursary fund for students facing significant financial difficulties.
