This in-person day school explores the legend of Dido and Aeneas through close readings from Virgil's Aeneid, with English translations and expert commentary. Sessions include guided readings and group discussion led by George Sharpley, focussing on Didos story, its literary context, and its reception.

The event is delivered as an immersive one-day workshop for people interested in Latin literature, classical myth, and the history and interpretation of the Aeneid. It takes place at The Roman Baths in Bath on Saturday 16 May 2026 from 10:00 to 16:00.
