Lean Manufacturing Apprentice - Vision Leisure Upholstery Ltd

This Level 2 Lean Manufacturing apprenticeship at Vision Leisure Upholstery Ltd trains you to make upholstery for VW camper vans. Most of the role is on-the-job learning in a small family-run workshop, with duties including pattern making in a range of fabrics, seat sewing, stripping and trimming.

The apprenticeship is aimed at those able to meet the listed GCSE requirements and willing to learn practical upholstery and manufacturing skills.

Off-the-job training is provided by In-Comm Training and Business Services Limited and includes a 12-month programme with monthly assessor visits in Telford. Topics covered in training include health and safety in manufacturing, communication and teamwork in a manufacturing environment, working relationships and responsibilities, and workplace organisation and problem-solving techniques.

Successful completion results in a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing qualification.

The role is full-time (39 hours 30 minutes per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with exact shifts to be confirmed) based at Unit 10, Mynd Industrial Estate, Church Stretton (SY6 6EA). There is potential for progression into a full-time role within the company after completion.
