Isle of Wight National Landscape and Brave Island are offering a paid photographer's assistant placement working with commercial and editorial photographer Maria Bell. The placement involves assisting Maria to document three commissioned artists as they develop work in response to Appuldurcombe House, Compton Bay and St Catherine's Oratory, and to capture the celebration event for the CAN YOU HEAR US?
Island-wide programme. Participants will gain practical industry experience, mentoring from a professional photographer, and the option of either a mentoring session or a portfolio review. The role is field-based: you will attend several on-location shoots in the West Wight between May and October and support documentation of artists' work as it develops.
This opportunity is open to young photographers aged 16-25. Applicants should be able to travel to West Wight locations (own transport required). Successful participants will receive a bursary of £500.
