Reading Borough Council is recruiting a Legal Operations Apprentice to join its Legal Operations Team to provide high-quality business support across the council and within the Joint Legal Shared Service. This fixed-term, full-time role (22 months, 37 hours/week) offers practical experience in administration, finance tasks and systems support while you work towards a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

Day-to-day duties include processing financial transactions, taking minutes, supporting IT/system queries, records management, assisting with purchase orders and invoicing, supporting supplier set-up, and administering the legal case management system, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. The role is varied and designed to develop strong transferable administration and systems skills.

You'll Earn

£24,309 per year

Pay & Benefits

£24,309 per year. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service), Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), life assurance (three times salary for LGPS members), season ticket loan, lease car salary sacrifice scheme, on-site day nursery (Kennet Day nursery).
