Help bring museum experiences into community venues across Leicester by setting up workshops, supporting craft activities and supervising object handling. You’ll work with participants, including people with special needs, and talk with them about museum collections.

Leicester Museums is looking for volunteers to support its community engagement workshops, helping to bring museum experiences to people across Leicester. The role involves practical, hands-on support for outreach sessions and is suited to people who enjoy working with others in a lively, community-focused setting.

Volunteers help set up workshops, provide customer service, supervise handling objects, take part in craft activities, and support people with special needs. They may also help unload and load materials, clear up afterwards, and talk with participants about handling collections and museum objects.

Workshops take place in community venues and museum sites, and the role is flexible, with opportunities available during the week and at weekends.
