This Level 3 ICT Technician apprenticeship places you in The Meadows School's busy ICT department, combining on-the-job experience with formal training. You will work as part of the school's IT support team handling logging and troubleshooting of staff IT issues, answering enquiries from staff and parents (face-to-face, phone and email), providing appropriate IT troubleshooting and guidance, and supporting teaching staff and pupils during IT lessons.
The apprenticeship starts on 2 January 2026 and runs for 1 year 5 months. It is a 30-hour-per-week role (Monday to Friday) with shifts to be confirmed. Training is delivered primarily in the workplace with college assessor visits, includes 20% off-the-job training, and is provided by QA LIMITED.
On completion you will gain the Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship standard (including any required Functional Skills).
Locations for this vacancy include Dudley Road East, Oldbury (B69 3BU) and Connor Road, West Bromwich (B71 3DJ). The post is fixed-term for the duration of the apprenticeship. Essential qualifications required are GCSEs in English Language, Maths, and one other subject at grade A*-C / 9-4 (or Level 2 equivalent).
Annual leave must be taken outside of term-time.
